Sara Jacobson was a daughter of Joseph Jacobson and Barbara van Westerborg. She married Abraham van Westerborg in 1881 in Rotterdam. They had ten children, among whom Joseph, Henry and Barbara.

In October 1941, an obituary was placed in Het Joodsche Weekblad for Sara Jacobson. She was the widow of A.I. van Westerborg.
