Breslau, 3 October 1867
– Died:Westerbork, 1 April 1943
Berta Sander was the second wife of Siegesmund Gumpertz, with whom she married circa 1900 in Breslau. They lived in Holten near Oberhausen. With him she had two children. Son Julius fell in 1920 in battle near Voerde in Wesel (Germany). A daughter survived the war. The couple lived on different addresses in Amsterdam from 1935 onwards. In November 1937 they moved to the Joodse invalide.

Berta Gumpertz-Sander died on 1 April 1943 in Westerbork transit camp and she was cremated on 5 April 1943. The urn with her ashes was placed on the Jewish cemetry in Diemen on field U, row 3, grave nr. 9.
