On 18 June 1933 Moriz Samuel Teich and Gusta Leibel married in Vienna. For unknown reasons Gusta and Moriz came to the Netherlands separately. Gusta moved or fled to Amsterdam from Vienna with their son Erwin when he was almost five years old. Moritz came on 26 June 1940 from Brussels to Amsterdam. They lived on the Plantage Muidergracht 33 I and on the Nieuwe Heerengracht 109 I.
