Future plans of the Digital Monument and Community

One of the most urgent - and expensive - wishes we have is to increase the clarity and usability of the website. Both the DM and Community contain the same basic information, but for now remain two separate websites and corresponding databases. (This presentation shows the basic differences.) Having two separate websites results in laborious editing, and in confusion for the visitors of the sites. In close cooperation with Mediamatic, our technical partner in these websites, we want to fully integrate the two. In the future, the visitor should be able to visit the pages of the Monument as quiet, memorial webpages and - with a touch - to have the interactive environment of the Community appearing.

Other examples of projects that can't be started without extra funding are: a mobile app for the DM; a continuation of the "Jewish Houses" campaign; development of an educational module for the website.
