Creating your profile
Your profile is where you enter information about yourself. You can upload a picture of yourself, indicate your areas of interest, add contact details, etc. Your profile shows other users of the Jewish Monument site who you are.
The first time you register, you will automatically be directed to a page displaying the following message: Here you can upload a picture, write a short description about yourself or select some keywords.
Click on one of the links in this text to go to your profile.
Any other time you log in, to edit your profile, click on your name at the top of the page to open your profile page. Then click on Edit this page. You can now enter or edit information in the appropriate fields.
Next to every field is an option Visible for everybody. Click on this option to open a menu in which you can indicate who is allowed to view your personal details.
Click on Save this page to save any changes you’ve made. You can return to this page at any time to make additional changes.
Using the Choose keywords button, you can select items to indicate your areas of interest. You can choose items from the list or enter your own keywords, using the Own keywords option.
Your profile page displays the people and topics you’re interested in, under the heading Interested in. In addition, all your Jewish Monument connections are listed under Contacts.
Using the Preferences option at the top of the page, you can enter and edit your email address, password and interface language. This is also where you can determine to what degree other community members may access, edit and respond to your content. You can determine the degree to which the copyright of your content is protected, under Copyright.
